ABOUT
Raphael Alvarez is an award-winning artistic director, creative director, producer, and editor for TV and Film.​

In 2023, he was a showrunner for the series Written In the Stars (Amazon Prime Video), presented by Ingrid Guimarães, edited the premiere episode of the series Os Hassums (Multishow- 2024), with Leandro Hassum and released the Documentary BR TRANS about the suffering of the transgender community in Brazil.

Before that, Raphael created, directed, produced, and edited programs for GNT, CANAL BRASIL, VIVA, Multishow, HBO, Disney, and others. Among them: Shopping Frenzy, with Ingrid Guimarães (8 seasons on GNT), Take a Note, with Titi Muller (8 seasons on Multishow), the documentary series Living on Laughter (TV Globo/Canal Viva), in addition to the specials Viva at Disney Parks (with Fabiana Karla and Heloísa Perrisé) and Planning a Party (with Fernanda Rodriguês).

Raphael gained international recognition for his work on the documentary Dzi Croquettes (Direction, Production, and Editing), which won more than 40 international awards and received excellent reviews from major American media outlets such as The New York Times, LA Times, Time Out NY, LA Weekly, Village Voice, among many others. He received the award for best documentary editor at the Brazilian Cinema Grand Prix and Fest Cine Goiânia (for the feature film Dzi Croquettes) and the Platinum Awards for editor of the year at the ISENMA festival, in Indonesia (for the film Dancing Wheels).
Raphael Alvarez is originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and has lived between Rio, NY and Fort Lauderdale for the last 30 years.
